Default Dezod T.E.A. kit

does anyone currently have this kit as their daily driver? im trying to decide between this and the stage 1. i just want some feedback because i never really hear too much about it here.

i've asked paul about this, he said it is more of a highway king, drag racer kit designed for optimal top end power. not the best set up for a daily driver. he also says he sells alot more s1 kits.

i say get the s1 kit, and maybe later you can upgrade it to a tea kit if you want more top end power.

Actually my buddy just got this kit and will DD it. I say get what you want from the get go. Go for it all. If not, you'll prolly think you should've just got the other one.

Joe drives a T.E.A. variation, and a few other customers drive some custom kits, that are of similar nature daily. All depends on how you like your eggs: Scrambled, Sunny-Side up, Poached etc. Ya know?

I do sell a lot more S1s than any other kit. It is the most popular for the novice who drives daily looking for the fun on side streets, off ramps and red light revs.

if i get the T.E.A. and keep it at 8.5 psi is that kinda pointless, i guess im asking if this is more geared towards built engines pushing more psi

like said earlier, this kit is more for power at the higher end of the rpm band. for a daily driver, the s1 kit is designed for more power at the lower rpms for response at the lower speeds.

i have a s1 does this mean ill be slower than someone with the TEA kit...do i need to upgrade...

Spend a little more money and get yourself a dual BB to fight off the lag and get yourself the more aggressive turbo.

yea thats what i was thinking, but ive never installed a BB turbo before, should i be scarred of hooking up the water lines or am i just being a little girl

I'm not running water lines yet and I don't think Joe is either. The water is going to help long term life not kill it if you don't have it hooked up. I'm being extra careful with warming and cooling this beast before I drive or shut it off.

yeah dude, your tc will be way too slow, you'll be a permanent fixture in the rear view mirror of a TEA dezod equipped tc!

so are you saying that its not a bad thing to not have the water lines hooked up if i let it warm up before boost and have a turbo timer to let it cool off?

no, if you do that, you will be fine, the lines just prolong the life of the turbo. ill let you know how my kit is, hopefully will be installing the kit next weekend, all depends on paul!
