Default Dezod Turbo Alternative for the t3/t4?

Hey guys i have the dezod s1 kit and im looking for a DROP IN turbo that is larger than the t3/t4.. i dont want to have to customize a dp or manifold or intake pipe or anything. i remember paul had mentioned a BB GT28 thats externally wastegated.

I have full internals and some new Ferrae valves in the head.. and im automatic.

just wondering what you think would be the nicest drop in turbo for me? i would love a ball bearing but .. w.e works.

for the bolt up to the dp is just a matter of the housing.. you can get it with a 4 bolt discharge or 5 bolt.

i think you can make it work?

60-1 is too large for the auto. The gearing of it will make the turbo seem like it takes forever to spool. Trust me.

That 3071R is over priced. I STILL like the 28R with this app. I do not think you will be disappointed.

We sell the 3071R at $1199

28 would be a better throttle response for the auto with the gearing. Simple as that.

For it too bolt right up to your intake and do...just depends on what housings you are currently using.

The GT28RS because it was mentioned obviosly works.....so I can guess on the housings

The GT28RS will be more responsive that what you have but will not have the top end(even on the auto at low psi)

Go one step further and get the GT2871R....best of both worlds.

Just my .02 worth.

Todd

talking about gt3076r/gt3071r to bolt up right? yeah it will just make sure you have the right turbo-mani flange and exhaust housing for 4 bolt, they come in those too... my gt3076 has a 4 bolt discharge and t3 footed flange undivided for the manifold so it will bolt up, the question would be fitment with downpipe/spipe and IC pipe knowing that you have a different turbo which may alter positioning a lil bit

We have maxed out a GT28RS on a stock motor(intake mani, tb, stock head etc) at 17psi (just a hair over 360whp on a 5 speed)

Your 54 trim will make over 400whp...so yes your current turbo will have more of a top end than the "disco".

Which is why I recommended the GT2871R. Then its a true bolt up affair.

If you go the GT30 route...ie GT3071 (76 you wont like on the auto even with a log mani) you have to get a compressor housing(smaller than standard, ie B cover) machined for the compressor wheel (so it matches up to your intake) and the turbine housing you can get that will bolt up the same.

Now if your ready to modify some things then skys the limit and there are many recommendations that I have for you...especially with the auto.

Regards-

Todd
