The STi dyno was done without the intercooler sprayer, which netted about another 30-40whp

With which still falls short of the tC at about 10 whp. Is this with the 15% load?

More importantly, the tC packs 65 lbs-ft torque.

How quaint :D

How does an engine w/ 300bhp lose 82 hp? Dang I guess AWD does effect your HP. But look at it this way. 218Awhp isn't bad really, i still think a fully custom built STi will be able to beat if not embarrass a tC

We'll see late next year

Ours were still done with load. The others I can not speak for.

40hp from intercooler sprayer? That can't be right. Also it looks like too much drivetrain loss to me even with 4wd.

Well the sprayer is what is responsible for the air-water-air cooling right? Without the sprayer perhaps the intake charge went up considerably causing the low HP figures. Also, it could be a dyno on a load bearing dyno.

But even with a dyno of 250 whp I think a tC at 11 psi would beat it. I want to see this Dezod powered STi!

Source for the STi dyno. VERY reputable shop.

http://www.vishnutuning.com/sti_dyno.htm

They generally read quite a bit lower than other dynos....much like our dynomite.
