difference in 2 psi
WOW lol so my afr were in low 11's with my safc set to +38% on 410cc injectors with a to4e on 4psi
i decided to change my wastegate source to the brake booster to get 6psi and WOW i maxed my SAFC at +50% and it was at 12.9 afr and PULLING like a frieght train man if only i had bigger injectors so i could leave it at 6psi

Yea you def arent maxing out the injectors - im running the same injectors at 7psi on a T3/T61 - making 7.2-7.5 psi according to fic datalogs - and i have no problem maintaining 11.2-11.5 afr under full boost all the way to redline. Also on my original more conservative map it was hitting as rich as 10.3 under full boost (still 7 psi) - i had to lean it up a bit to get the afr more where i wanted it (11.2-11.7). Ive tested the current map down to around 45F outside and it runs great with a constant well maintained afr. Maybe the SAFC is the restriction?

Also forgot to mention - i know this will affect afr - im pulling 3.5 deg of timing at peak tq - leveling off to -2.5 deg at redline - i dont think the safc can pull timing so that may be some of the issue.

yea i think your right might be a B housing

yea its the SAFC thats restricting me because you can only tune the maf signal and well im maxing it out at + 50

Ahh i forgot - thats why i love the fic - it directly adjusts the injector pulsewidths by interrupting the signal to the injectors. I think the maf maxes out at like 5v - so you can only add so much fuel using the safc or any other device that tunes by increasing maf voltage.

yea it sucks...oh well i can always sell it and buy a fic or i can just go buy 440 injectors and make the safc happy

because its the way most people do it its really personally prefference, brake booster gives u exact wastegate pressure, makes boost come in faster and HARDER, but tends to sometimes spike
but when u have the compressor housing u dont have spike and boost is more even controlled, and if your IC piping is long and you have a big frount mount u could drop 1-2psi off ur wastegate pressure

Mines t'd off with the rest of my vacuum lines - including fic, guage, and bov - ive never had a problem with spikes although apparently some have. I only did it because my turbo compressor hadnt previousely been tapped when i got it and i didnt feel like taking the time to tap it lol I might sell my fic soon - when i go to manual swap im really wanting a standalone - i wanna rev to like 7k - hey on that note - does anyone know if you can up the redline to 7k by simply going with upgraded valve springs and retainers (no cams or valves). I know dezod sells the bc spring and retainer kit for like $280.

2psi gain with that vac source change means your intercooler is very restrictive - or something between the turbo and intake manifold is causing a restriction.
Some people gain 1psi at the most.

The easiest way to know is to look at the clamps that hold the comp housing to the back plate. 3x 2 bolt = T04B, 2x 3 bolt clamps = T04E.
My CXR chinacharger has "T04E" stamped right on the comp housing but it's really a T04B.
