Default DIY: Supercharger ECU to STOCK.

DIY: Supercharger ECU to STOCK.

Tools needed:

1. Paperclip
2. Phillips Screwdriver
3. STOCK ECU (Must be same year+transmission)
4. Your car key

1. First off remove your glove box.
2. Unscrew the screws that hold the ECU in place.
3. Place the STOCK ECU in place of the SUPERCHARGER ECU. (STOCK ECU must be same year and transmission)
4.
5. Insert the paper clip into the terminals that are circled red.
6. Put your key in the ignition and turn it to the “ON” position. (Do not start the car.)
7. With your key in the “on” position, leave it there for 30 minutes. 35 to be safe.
8. After 35 minutes have passed, remove the paper clip and start your car.
9. Yay your car starts now. The ECU is registered with your key so the key-less entry system works.

Oh I'm not saying it's wrong to post it again.

I just read the whole thing and for some reason it seemed familiar and not something new.

Good job on the guide.

yeah but once you register it, it will no longer work for the person who had the ecu first lol. ECU only works with 1 key at a time.

Posted before and the title is misleading.

People will think you can convert an s/c flashed ECU to stock. You must acquire a new replacement ECU. There is nothing specific to the S/C here.

In reality, this is a general write-up from the TSB on the install of a NEW ECU...ANY ECU. And updating the communication to the transponder/immobilizer.

Title should read DIY: Engine ECU Replacement Procedure

Oh, and I beat you by 12 minutes:

Well I mean... look whut it says above. Place the stock ecu in place of the sc. How does that signal to a conversion...?

Hey this guy again. I bought a AEM boost gauge from him and he didn't send me all the pieces, I wonder if he can answer that...

Where is my AEM boost sensor?

the TITLE is misleading, you need to learn to read a comment properly before you get defensive.

mightygnu, please take it to PM.

just as a note, i believe im discovering you can't permanently change the ecu's programming.

my car recently went in for clutch work, disconnecting the battery for hours. car wouldn't start. after hours of troubleshooting at the shop, i said hey if theres just no spark.. maybe its my ecu? so i did the trick again, and sure enough, it started right up.

what i cant figure out now is... my car has decided to randomly no longer start up as of a few days ago. not sure why. could be related to the ecu as ive rekeyed it and shortly after it turned back on, but not immediately.

will keep you guys informed.

ok, well re-keying didnt do it so it isnt the ecu. but point still stands, the re-keying may clear if the battery is undone for long enough.

what about the other keys?? i.e. valet and the other alarm key....should the be placed in close proximity when this is being done so the computer can read the signal output from them as well?
