Default Dyno dynamics = Heartbreaker

so the other day my tune was erased... but i wont get into how that happened...

so today i went to go get tuned at this place in AZ... and they were using a Dyno Dynamics ...

i get tuned again at 10psi and i only made 260whp and 260wtq..

but the first time i got tuned for 10psi i made 284whp and 290wtq...

....

is it true that Dyno dynamics read REALLY low? lol

So i hear they read about 8-12% lower than other dynos out, but that doesn't really matter all that much. It's just a number, you just want a good tune that will deliver as much power you can get to the ground. If you want an inflated dyno number, jump on a dynopack.

Dyno Dynamics and/or Mustang Dynos. However, some shops will use a correction factor on their Dyno Dynamics to make it easier to achieve higher numbers.

And to the OP, you should import your tune onto a laptop, just so you always have a backup.

dynapack inflated...since when...lol

not trying to be an **** but i dyno'd stock and boosted on the same dynapack at the same shop with the same guy running it every time..(actually dyno'd quit a few times when i was boosted...lol)

stock=144hp 151tq (intake, exhoust) 100f ambiant
boosted=298hp 301tq @ 11psi 70-75f ambiant

i really couldnt call that inflated...temps played a big roll but meh i cant really say the numbers wher off the mark that bad...any ways like you said its all about making it to the ground...which i always had a problem keeping the tires and clutch from slipping...lol

^^ they still on business or just changed site?

and yeah dynos have ways of doing correction factor to inflate numbers even mustangs.. dynapacks i believe reads a lil high since its doesnt take into account the wheels, its like dyno to the flywheels.. so if you use a heavy wheels it could vary a decent amount

yep i just went down there last week...they are in the process of moving to a new lacal...i think they said to a new and bigger shop in north houston...i havnt looked at thier site in a couple of days...they maybe updating it with new . info about the new shop.

yep dynapacks run right off the axle however they use a more accurate way to test..pretty much the dyna pack is a fluid pump...this will explain more

http://www.dynapack.com/

beleave it or not but if im reading this right the dynapack program takes into account tire and rim size...you input the size into the program and im sure you can add a degree of weight to make it more accurate..

http://www.dynapack.com/index.php?op...id=30&Itemid=3

found some more info...while i thought you could make adjustments to the wheel size using the program it doesnt look like the case here

http://www.dynapackusa.com/differences.htm

i also have seen a write up in a tuner mag that talked about all the dyno's...the only limitation that i can remember of the dynapack dyno is it cant do coast down tests...(I think thats right)

if your profile is correct and have only the cat-back exhaust from Magnaflow, those numbers seem really good. the S1's Ive seen here with a 2.5 inch exhaust havent gotten past 240ish. Dyno Dynamics is the best dyno for tuning because you can apply various load amounts and that allows for a much better tune. For example... you can simulate accelerating up a hill and fine tune each vacume and boost point per situation.

just so you know dynopacks are one of the best tunning dynos out there very good at load holding and dialing in perfect tunes and for your info i made less power in my vwbug on a dynopack then a mustang dyno it all depends on how its calibrated

lol dynolicious is usually more accurate on autos, it bases reading on vibrations its not so consistent with manuals..

if only i had an iphone I spend all my money on the tc lmao - also i tried the dyno library for the aemlog and its ____ed lol - it says i make 895 whp lmao - so yea somethings wrong - i thought at first gear ratio or tire size so i did as they showed on the aem forum and had it output my veh speed and the veh speed matched rpm for that gear perfectly so i dunno what the issue is.
