the concern is more on some type of rubber/teflon fuel lines.. it causes some of those to get hard and brittle over time and eventually break due to pressure.. i say those with aluminum rails and braided lines should be good..

Factory fuel lines should be good to go since nowadays any fuel contains a certain percentage of ethanol. Fuel pump and big enough injectors are the bare minimum.

Thought it corroded the tank too, or the tank had to be modified?

pretty much it, runs cooler, more room for timing and about 8% more powa on the same psi.

Yeah i think for some people it could be a little bit of a hassle to get to the E85 station...what if you are driving somewhere far and not sure if E85 stations are along your way..then what.

I'm still debating if i should get E85 or not, i mean its octane on par with race gas but it's not too common in NYC area, i think for now i'm going to stick to 93 octane.

^^ im waiting for hydra 2.7, flex fuel feature.. but i did drove to san antonio once like 220ish miles with 7 gallons extra e85. Yeah its a pain to find some stations, when i got to my e85 station in san antonio it was a retail e85 station so ended up with regular gas and suffered a crappy tune for a bit

you should test this theory out ace since you are tuned for e85. fill up w/ some 93 octane, and then turn down your base fuel psi 5 pounds or so, and then go drive it around. see if you can get somewhere near stoich w/ it just from changing fuel psi.

^^ did try that at one point, its still not smooth.. fuel trims can get close though but the cranking/start up just sucks, tip in afr arent good either.. i did it only for just a bit coz i just loaded a gasoline map and save some headache. i might try it later sometime maybe i'll get it figured out

Back when I played around with it, I would have both e85 maps and 91 octane maps plus two intermediate maps, one going from ethanol and going to it. I would only bring these on long trips where I wasn't certain on fillup stations, but it did come in handy. Flex fuel option would be sweet.

What plugs are yall using with E85? Im running 1 step colder on 12.5 psi with 9:1 comp, thiink I should go colder or hotter, or replace with same? (I fouled the plugs from some overly rich testing )

You don't need as cold as you would need on pump gas. I think one step colder should be fine.

hmmm interesing point about the flex fuel option that would be really nice to have but i dont see that happening for me until i can get a hold on a standalone but still interested to see how this could work out this could really open up options i think for some ppl who r not as lucky to have an e85 station near them
