WTF would cause the primary O2 to continuously go bad?
I have gone through 3 of them already and i'm mystified as to what the problem is.
My factory went bad.
I got a replacement that was supposed to be PNP from Denso but it was not, I have to cut off the connector and splice into it only for it too not to work correctly, it gives me the correct ohm reading when measuring between connector 1 & 2 but does not have a reading at all reading between connector 1 & 4 which is supposed to read 10kohm or higher.
I bought an O2 from the dealer some 2 and a half weeks ago and now it has ceased working as well so now i'm not only beyond ____ed but beyond mystified.
The dealer O2 is out of spec on reading connectors 1 & 2 and also does not have a reading at all between connector 3 & 4.
Which would be the reason why my tunes were acting really funky.

I'm thinking they sent me the wrong one.....I hope.
I completely forgot about it but I do think I got the wrong one, that is a OEM Denso PNP O2....at least its supposed to be.

The only other time I threw any other CEL related to sensors was when I first got the car and was learning how to drive a manual tranny and I was jerking all over the place, I threw a CEL and the dealer just cleared it out for me.
hmm wait. you were doing what to a tranny?
juuust kidding.
haha

Since I bought my O2 at the dealership I called this morning and it has a 1 yr warranty so they've agreed to swap it out for me since it isn't reading within spec.
Kev, I owe you an O2 if the one you get is not PNP.

i wonder if running rich has been killing it...doesnt seem likely considering the time frame...
how do you check to see if the stock 02 sensor is bad? or how you check any 02 sensor that has gone bad? (besides a cel)

Doh. I'm not like that though, fortunately. I gotta stop modding my car for a while. I got way depressed when I couldn't get the new o2 sensor in. lol. chris, if you are wondering the bolt is a m18x1.50. i used an oil pan bolt. lol
