Update 10/3
Well minor updates...
SL Ban:
I'm back from my SL ban, we can thank the lovely mods for my 2 week vacation.
ATi Gauge Pod:
I opted to buy an ATi Gauge Pod so i'll be doing away with my pillar pod. I'm doing it because I think it looks better and it won't obstruct my vision. I'm already damn near blind, I don't need anything obstructing my vision.
P0138 CEL:
The car runs well, very well. I am throwing a P0138 CEL, I know exactly what the issue is but haven't been under the car to take care of it . Most likely due to my de-fouler I had on the secondary O2 it is no longer necessary.
Oil Change Mobil 1 to AMSOIL:
It is time to change the oil and since i've gotten the car i've ran nothing but Mobil 1 Extended Performance with Mobil 1 Extended Performance filters. Well I was doing some reading and it seems like Mobil 1 isn't the greatest, highly popular, but isn't the best. So i've decided to make a change to AMSOIL 10w-30. It is more expensive but supposedly better, much better.
Oil Analysis:
I also ordered up a Blackstone Labs oil analysis kit so my next oil change i'll send it in for analysis.
Mishimoto Slim Fans & Water Temp:
Next up, i've noticed that the slim fans that come with the mishimoto radiator shroud aren't the best at cooling. They look nice in their slim style but the stock shroud and fans did much better job of cooling. My temps not reach 200 and that's when i'm sitting at idle or just cruising. It has gotten cooler out so it isn't getting quite that high anymore but i'm open to suggestions to rectify the problem. I already upgraded the thermostat and used some water wetter.
Boomslang PNP FI/C Harness:
I had an issue with my Boomslang harness, pins had come out the harness, that had me stranded in Charlotte, NC after I got tuned by PTUNING. I contacted Boomslang and while they wouldn't let me order a new harness to have it shipped overnight and used until I got my harness repaired, Chris sent me his harness to use which I was very grateful for. Boomslang took back my harness and "repaired" it however when I got it back yesterday the harness is brand new. The harness is smaller than it was originally, the resistor mods that I had there are gone, the harness is brand new and they charged me nothing, awesome guy Rustin is at Boomslang.
Bye Bye TYC's:
Ascetically, I decided to ditch my tinted TYC's and go with Anzo's. My APT fog on the drivers side has sprung a leak and APT has been kind enough to send out a replacement but when received it turned out to be the passenger side so APT sent out another replacement. I know those shipping costs from Taiwan aren't cheap.
Resonator Removed:
I had my vibrant ultra quiet resonator removed....the setup definitely got louder but thanks to the turbo I don't have any rasp.
CC Stage 4 holding up nicely:
Oh and my CC Stage 4 is holding up nicely. It feels stock now but still has that firm gripping power. I've been boosted for a few oil changes now and everything runs great. It has been on the car for many, many thousands of miles and before I was boosted.

I know aen, it had nothing to do with you at all. It had nothing to do with the majority of the mods. Its just 1 in particular that I take issue with but had I never left the beloved forced induction section it would have never happened.

Chris how much does your oil have to do with water temp? I read that oil and water temp are usually within 10 degrees of each other.
I took care of the P0138 CEL today, I am now CEL FREE!!

cell free ftw!!!!!!
idk to tell you the truth....all i can say is look at the temp rateing of the oil in question and try and keep it within specs of the oil......I know im not much help on that subject, maybe if you asked me what size bolt goes where i might be able to tell you....lol

oil is not only a lubricating aspect of the motor but a cooling factor too
oil cools the motor down which in turn cools the water down.
if water is high temp and oil is low temp you broke the laws of physics.
y'dig?

i think he was wanting something more specific like within what temp of each other should they be...I get what he is saying...im sure there is a slight difference between the two. water temp=oil temp

I've read that Mobil 1 runs a bit warmer than other oils and just from changing mine to a different brand I noticed the difference at least in engine noise and water temp.
I need to add the oil temp function to my scan gauge and see what that reads.
All in all....AMSOIL > MOBIL 1
