All fixed
I'll get in there with a paint scraper and get the rest of that excess RTV off along with my mother of pearl polish on the mani.
Rob, it was hard enough trying to explain to the weld guy at Meineke what to do so I took it. I'm looking to get a 3" exhaust and downpipe pretty soon so i'll save the custom wstegate dump for that project.

ecko04 (Curt) Turbo Excursion Comes to an End :-)
I just wanted to thank everyone on SL, including special thanks to Crush (Chris), B_Real (Rob), Elevation (Mike), CarbonXe (Jon), PTUNING (MrC, TOAN, Chris, Mike, etc.) & Dezod (Don & Paul).
As of today, 2pm EST, I completed the restoration of my 07 tC to stock. I knew if I did not install the PTUNING exhaust I won in the raffle that I would restore the car and once UPS picked the exhaust up for delivery to its owner yesterday I knew I was done.
The reason why isn’t specific, it just gives me piece of mind. Throughout my excursion I’ve learned many things, one being there is no such thing as a Mustang Dyno Dynamic . I started off as a complete forced induced and still for the most part am but i’ve come a long way.
I now have peace of mind in knowing everything the tC can do, I started off with the NA build (header, pulleys, exhaust, mid-pipe, s-pipe, CAI, etc.), moved on to Nitrous (Ny-trex Triple Threat 75 shot) then to turbo (Dezod S1 tuned by PTUNING) all in 2 years.
Now I’m more stock than I was when I bought the car. It was a fun ride but I learned everything that I already knew….more power, more problems . I no longer need to check for boost leaks, no more forgetting to set the turbo timer, no more monitoring vacuum lines, no more seals on the turbo blowing, no more fault O2 sensors due to the tune, no more mud on the undercarriage due to the removal of the mud guards because of the intercooler piping, etc. Another thing to everyone looking to be boosted, do it right the 1st time and always have backup funding, and realize everything has its breaking points, just hope it’s a part before the motor.
I never took my car to the track, no 1/8 or 1/4 mile time slips, no vids of me owning people or anything like that. It was boosted and I daily drove it every day to grad school, up to Northern VA and Maryland, back and forth to Atlanta, Montgomery and Birmingham. It might seem boring but I’m a road warrior, it’s what I do.
I probably won’t be around on SL nearly as much anymore but I will make my occasional post here and there. A funny thing is that I expected to feel some sort of regret but as I dropped my last wrench into my tool box and put away my blue tarp I actually felt more liberated than ever and I knew I made the right decision.
Once again, thanks all!

Not yet, I have 6000 set aside right now, another 2-3k coming within 2 weeks and if I sell the tC private party, I'll have another 1k (owe 13,100 on it now, they go for 15k used, so I'll sell mine for 14 just to move it fast) toward the down payment, then I'll be off to pick up my new 3.8 Track Gen Coupe :D. Can't. ____ing. Wait.
So would I, but never again to a daily driver. One thing I will NEVER do to my DD, is touch the suspension. It absolutely RUINS the ride. After driving a 2010 Mustang for 2 days, I fell in love with the stock suspension ride quality.

Hey bro - I'm glad you're doing what you feel is best for you. I'm glad to have been able to contribute a little to your project. Feel free to hit me up any time regardless if it's Scion related or whatever.
