ecu reflash
#6
Dude from what my service advisor told me they were having a hard time doing the reflash on my car and that is why its taking them so long to install in my car. Well anyways I got my car back last nite and the S/C pretty sweet it pulls so much harder. Looks like they took my car for a joy ride though because they put 32 mile when i dropped it off tuesday.

Maybe they didn't really have the reflash tool. I know there are tons of people that think they have a tool that will "WORK" and then find out they don't know as much as they thought they did.
It's fairly straight foward if you follow the instructions. Are you sure they actually did the reflash?? If they didn't they're going to be buying you as new engine and S/C.
Now when I said 30 minutes that includes the time it take to remove the ECU, flash it, and put it back in the car. I would double check with the dealer and make 100% sure they did have that tool.

Ok, I just spoke w/ the tech who did the install for my S/C and sales person from the parts dept. confirmed that they do have the tool.
I think service advisor did'nt know what he was talking about.
If they are lying about having the tool oh well. They're just gona have to get me new engine and new S/C.

Well, when I picked-up my car last nite the service advisor told me that the reason why it so long for them to install the s/c was they were having problem re flashing the ecu and it took took them the whole morining to get right.

^^i agree..and they did put 32 miles on it..if they were just testing it, a good 2-3 miles would've been sufficient. if it were me, i would've raised the issue with them. you paid to have it installed on ur car, not for them to go for a joy ride. like i said, 2-3 miles should've been enough.
