EGTs are high
Im running 6psi on my custom setup and have my egt probe in the manifold collector before the turbo. im pretty sure these are too hot but i wanted a comparison and any suggestions for bringing them down.
idle 6-7
cruising around town 8-9
crusing on highway 11-12
WOT 2nd 3rd 12-13
WOT 4th it will get up to 15 and continue to climb if i keep on it

Today I removed the PCV from dumping into the intake manifold and it dropped them all by 100 degrees.

The numbers on the S/C are just about that, if not higher..
About 750-950 at idle, 1100 cruising, and 1500+ at WOT, still havent taken it all the way though, gonna check on that sometime soon.

I was a little suprised as well on my egt compared to other cars I have owned and run. running on the freeway at 80 I am at about 1400, at 60 I am at about 1200-1300... Definitly doing a catch can and seeing if it helps out like it did for others. Heck if I gun it hard for more than 20 seconds she pegs 1600 hard. "only a 1600 gauge" which is kinda scary for me.

Question: Higher EGTs look scary but obviously the tC was designed to run around that temperature. I'm fairly sure Toyota designed it that way to heat up the two cats really quickly to maintain ULEV status. Well, after the cats have heated up, all the extra heat meant to heat up the cats stays in the exhaust stream which nets us these high EGTs. However, a high EGT means a high exhaust velocity.
Since the tC was designed to run at these temperatures (remember, Toyota always over-engineers their engines; if high EGTs are no mistakes, then the engines are built to withstand them) would it be really beneficial to lower these temperatures? They probably help with breathing efficiency and for turbo cars, spool. This is probably the cause for those supercharger seals blowing though.
