^^^ are u talking to me ? I am about to dl the software for my scan tool rightnow , but I was thinking I am not sure if my scan tool has a temp readout . and I think I am about to order the thermostat too .

well I pulled up my scan tool and it does have temp readout , but my computer illiteracy is really bad and I cant figure how to make this usb to 9 pin work . my software must have been from win me and dont know how to get a program into this new computer to run this adapter . if one of u guys know how please help me out . thanks Shane

ok what the he!! is wrong with everyones cars. my car at idle runs from 400-450. cruising on the highway at 80 it goes as high as 700-750. at wide open throttle from 1st thru 4th never go above 810.
i know that for a fact because i have the greddy gauges that show peak. my car isn't tuned yet so i know the egt's aren't going to be as high as they will be when its tuned but still those numbers that others are saying thay are running at is really high.

where do u have the probe mounted ? sounds like u may have it too far away , or ur gauge isnt calibrated .

Could it be because the Greddy gauges go in C*? :D ... I think u are not thinking clearly enough. Actually 810C* is 1490*F ...yhea, u are just like us... at the border.

my probe is right in the colector of the manifold so it is right were it neads to be. mine does read in celcius. if that isn't what you guys are talking about than maybe i didn't see it in the thread. i don't know. my mistake. i thought you were talking about celcius before you multiply it by 100.
