Default elect.? necessary w/ turbo kit running 5lbs? install in bama

I just need to know if it is possible to run a turbo kit on the stock engine, stock injectors/ computer, on 5-6 lbs of boost? also is there anyone in alabama willing to help with the install?

search for stage 0 turbo kit like zpi racing one. that i think uses stock injectors. all i have to say is dont take no cheap route!

stock injectors, stock computer, no managment, on boost=fail....atleast get some sort of managment then maybe

By fail you mean doesn't make a whole lot of power then yes. But fail in that it will blow up your engine...no.

thats how zpi stage 0 was and no one had a problem with. either way crush i see what your saying and its like i was saying not to go cheap. if you just want a couple of whp then go with s/c but if you go turbo make sure you go the right way! not the cheap way! point blank!

it depends on what size turbo you use to make that boost. small turbos like the ones with the zpi kit, yes, but bigger ones are going to be trouble.

ok i understand...the only reason i posed this question is because i just bought a used turbo toyotas kit from cessblood on here and i wanted to know would it be a major issue before i did an install...thanks guys

what size turbo is it? if it's a t3/t4, then get engine management because it has a higher cfm than the zpi stage 0 kit

That's what a ZPI stage 0 is. Stock injectors, no management, no intercooler, and 6psi of boost.

But as mentioned above...Stage 0's used a smaller turbine. The larger turbo's I would not recommend this type of setup. t3/t4 turbo = No.

i was just talking to cess the other day, he misses his kit bad....lol
i kinda know how he feels....lol
then that means youv got the custom dumptube i made for him....it prolly looks like booty by now though.

but yeah with that turbo i strongly suggest engine managment (aem fic, greddy ultimate, ect) and 550cc injectors. if im not mistaken the wastgate spring is a 8.7psi spring....i could be wrong but i thought cess was running 8psi or more. if not im pretty sure you can run with stock injectors and the fic @ 5-6psi...i have done it on the same kit but not the exact same turbo i dont think.

no No NO! you need injectors and tuning on that size turbo. no joke here. i'm serious business. get a AEM FiC and some injectors you will be much happier.

lol...nahh...i was just talking to him the other day and he mentioned he had sold his turbo kit. He's lost without it and going through boost withdraws like a crack head.
