Default Electronic Boost Gauge question

Before anybody starts saying "seach" or "read the tech guide" ... i already have.

From looking at the tech guide on to how to install the boost gauge (tech -> gauges) to noticed that where Kaeon did the T-fitting, he bought a universal vacuum tee (which i bought as well from Autozone), and fitted the rubber hoses together.

well, here is my problem/question. I bought an electronic boost gauge/tt from Swoosh Motorsports and they gave me a WAY small t-fitting peice. It seems as if this was to be tapped into the same rubber tubbing as where the BPV is located?

this is what the instructions showed:

Inlet Chamber --- Tee valve --- Gasoline pressure regulator

i got the rubber tubing (Turbo Tube according to the picture above) to fit and installed it similar to the tech guide's picture using the autozone plastic tee fitting, but the electronic gauge is showing random numbers ranging from (in PSI): -9.6 to -5.5 during idle and when i drive the number goes all over the place -9 to -3 and when i do hit boost(from flooring it from 2nd gear) it shows only 1.2 (hahahaha) so ...? i thought i would be at least hit 5psi during shifts

06 trd supercharger w/ headers + forge 007 + modified exhaust + stock airbox

does it seem like i tapped into the wrong area? I'm planning to tap into the bpv tube tomorrow just for kicks but i rather have an explanation as to why this is happening.. i'm hoping that i am just a noob at reading the PSIs and that what i did was fine

any usefull feedback would be greatly appriciated.

thanks!

You tapped your Boost gauge after your BPV line. Reverse the 2 and you wil be good to go.

i'm still confused, what do you mean by reverse the 2? Am i going to be using the metal tee fitting to tap where the bpv line is at?

No, The line that goes to your BPV is before your boost gauge right? You need to have the line for the Boost gauge before the line that goes to the BPV.

gotcha! I'll give that a try in a few. So the tech guide for the tee fitting is different from what I'm going to place mine?

What numbers should I he seeing roughly? Is it supposed to he steady during idle? I should be hitting more than 1.2 psi during shifts LOL

^ Yes. What pulley are you using? If your stock you should see 7psi or close to it. Are you sure your boost gauge reads in PSI and not HPKA?

:D thanks kkcaffine. you were right, i had it tee-ed into the wrong one. lol ~~ so now at idle i'm at -9 (vac) and during 3k rpm i'm at like -5.5(vac) .. i've only hit 1.3 PSI but then again that was on local :X hahaha

haha yeah my gauge can switch between metrics of HPKA and PSI. I'm using the stock for today ..... NST pulley installed tomorrow :D haha woo!

but i'm a noob when it comes to forced induction. i dont know what numbers i should be seeing. but i'm not driving all hard to see a high boost i suppose..

i should be seeing 7psi only when i floor it and hit red line right?
