i dont own a scion, but its a toyota..
to make a long stoy short, i turboed my 20v ae86 and am having some problems with my emanage..

i used this a thread here as a helper when making my own emanage cable..

still cannot get my laptop to connect with my unit..

tried software versions 1.10, 1.11, 1.20 and 1.49

tried different bit per second properties, com ports and so on

have my cable echoing back in hyperterminal (to find the data + and - wires)

and tried switching the negative and positive of this cable in every version

and my "active light" is pretty damn active as it flashes from red,green to yellow and through the whole cycle again over and over..

damn emanage, you suck ***** ! ! !

i know my laptop is working correctly, and im pretty sure my cable is hooked up correctly or it wouldnt echo in hyperterminal.. and i know my com port works or it wouldnt work in hyperterminal..

so i think im going to have to send the unit to greddy to get wiped and some new firmware installed compatible with v1.49..


any other tips or ideas i could try, or have someone in the PHX area let me use their cable to make sure thats not it ???

please someone help, hardly anyone uses this stuff anymore and its hard to find fixes for this stuff

 

are you using the actual greddy cable or one you got on your own. cause you speciafically have to have the greddy emanage suport cable if not it wont work. why dont you try the corolla forums?
