Default Engine Stands and Metric Bolts

Hello all, so I purchased an engine stand today so that I may finally have somewhere to place my shortblock that I purchased recently .

I ran into a problem today and am wondering if you guys can help........

After assembling the stand I wanted to get that shortblock up and after trying to attach those 4 arms to the bell housing (thats what Im calling it , proper or not) I went out to find some strong bolts to attach it with.

Here is the dilema, there are atleast 5 good holes to attach these arms to, 2 of them are a M10 1.25 bolt, however you will only use one of these holes. The other 3 holes are a M12 bolt.

My problem is that I do not know which one it is. I purchases M12 1.75 but they are too big, so can anyone help me with the sizes.

I will post pictures up tomorrow to clarify more for you if you need it. Cant seem to find my camera at the moment.

M10 1.25 bolts, 75-100mm, Grade 5 minimum Work for 1 hole

We used the tranny bolts I believe. So however big the tranny bolts are that's what you should use. I hope that helps cuz I don't know the size.

Here's a pic of the tranny parts and the bolts. 31105G are the bolts and it shows the sizes. Looks to be 12 1.25.

To mount the 2azfe motor on a typical engine stand you will need the following:

(1) 10mmx1.25 (75-80mm length)
(3) 12mmx1.25 (75-80mm length)
(2) 10mm washer (use with the 10mm bolt)
(6) 12mm washer (use with the 12mm bolts)

Put a washer on either side of each of the each of the engine stand arm (there should be four arms). The bolt length is based on the length of a typical engine stand support arms.

Send me a picture of the oil squirters on your 07 block when you get a chance.

Thanks for the pics. That's exactly what I needed to see. Looks like Scion revised the casting along with the oil squirters. The made the casting around the third main journal a bit beefier.
