Default Exhaust Rasp and Turbos

So here is my setup....

DME 4-1 header>Magnaflow highflow CAT> 2x18" Magnaflow resonators> Tanabe Medallion touring exhaust.

So I had to installl the resonators to deal with the rasp that I developed from adding the header.

I am planning on going turbo in the near future and was wondering if I need to keep the resonators installed. Not planning on getting a different muffler. Will the turbo effect the sound of my exhaust?

I would because I run no cats and no resonators with just a magnaflow muffler and 2.5" piping except a stock S-Pipe and it sounds great! No rasp, nice deep tone, not loud at all and sounds stock on the inside! My recirc'd WG and BOV help too but the BB turbo tends to give me away because it's louder than the car! lol

The turbo will act like a muffler on it's own and quiet down the exhaust.

I might just remove the two Magnaflow resonators and replace them with an Aero or Vibrant.

We'll see once I get the turbo, I'll have to play around with it.

The exhaust note will be effected on the turbine A/R, exhaust diameter and manifold design.

So the turbo and turbo manifold will kind of act like the OEM exhaust manifold. Need to replace the Magnaflow resonators anyway, they seem to have lost their effectiveness in reducing the rasp.

Don’t really want to have a horribly loud car.

I reckon it's from the turbo on the SS kit being used. As the Race kit runs a GT3076r and it doesn't sound the same obviously (dual BB).
