yes it can be done but a 3in would help spool faster and make better power easier.

3" will be the most efficient, and what I would recommend. Can you make 300whp on 2.5"? yeah definitely - Ive made 400whp on 2.5", but 3" will be MUCH more efficient when you start getting into that range.

i have a small t3/t4 .50 trim with a 2.5 inch crushbent exhaust, i was tuned at ptuning for 10-11 psi car made 280hp there, i have since put in a 13psi spring and then got dynoed at a local shop the attached dyno is the results also people cannot say that the dyno doesnt read like ptunings because i raised the boost 2 psi and the en result was 20 hp which goes with the general rule of thumbs for every 1 psi of boost you raise you increase 10hp. now had i had a 3inch exhaust these numbers would have came at maybe 10 psi

The result was 20hp on another dyno. You can't compare that way, needs to be on the same dyno. Different for different cars in the amount of power it's going to make per psi.
