Default F/I 1/8th times

Have any of you guys been to the track yet? I know they are open, and I'm looking to go here soon. For you math calculators, say hypothetically if you ran a 13.0 in the 1/4, what would that translate into for a 1/8th mile?

13.5 1/4 = roughly what 1/8th mile?

13.0 = 1/8th?

12.8 = 1/8th?

I'm trying to see what numbers are good numbers for a boosted tC to do in the 1/8th mile?

Hey Travis this what Kenny wrote on the ZPI forums, i don't know if you've read it or not.
Times your 1/8 mile by 1.56 to get your 1/4 time works pretty good.

We went 12.12 in the 1/4 divided by 1.56 7.76 our slip says 7.8
13.0 = 8.33

12.8 = 8.20

Interesting, thanks for that. I didn't see where he mentioned it.

The reason for this thread was because I was doing some testing with the HKS Type-1 turbo timer. Trying to relearn how to launch the car now that it's F/I, then I can pass the info. onto Misti, so she knows what to do when we race. I just learned how to Brake Boost recently. I did a 1/8th measurement run on the highway. I pulled over to the shoulder to make sure no cars were left on the road, and then set the TT to 1/8th. It can either do a count down from 3 sec. and then you go, or you can have it count when you start moving.

I had it set to when I start moving. I barely launched it, at like 2grand (no pre-spooling or anything like that, is it possible to do that sitting still anyway?), all the while trying to take off from the shoulder of the highway and pull the car over onto the normal pavement... Anyhow, the TT clicked off an 8.51 1/8th time. I want to see how accurate it is when I go to the track EVENTUALLY. So, I estimate our car to do low 13's, maybe a high 12 can be squeezed in.

^^Yeah, the 1.56 multiplication seems to be pretty on target. Good #'s in the Tacoma by the way (So you have two tacoma's?). How much lbs where you pushing on it?

I predict constant Low, low 13's. And even dips into the 12's. This weekend coming is Slammin and Jammin car show. So, still won't have any #'s this weekend either. But I hope Misti can play hooky one Tues. night, because Beach Bend Raceway has Public drags on Tues. Nights.

That's a nice size turbo. Yeah, I asked the guy what it was pushin horsepower wise. He said 320 flywheel hp. He predicted that the tC would get him. But I wasn't expecting it to get pulled that hard. I wish I had my other camera recording, because the site from my Z as I followed was just awesome. You See the tC just come out of no where, and with the sound of the open wastegate....PURE BLISS..
