EGT is good for use with tuning once you really start pushing the envelope. Timing curves can affect the EGT's greatly and always good to know where you are at. These cars run kind of cool though rarely seeing over 800 degrees C EGT. A wideband is always a good idea if you are running boost just to monitor things. PLX makes a great unit that is not too badly priced at all and works better than the AEM with leaded fuels. www.plxdevices.com

I was looking into getting a dash hawk. So if i got the dash hawk would the wideband still be necesary? I'm getting the turbonetics kit which comes with a preprogramed piggyback, so i don't need to tune it! the narrowband would give me a general idea and the dashhawk would tell me exactly where im at
