oh and pep-boys...lmao

anyways its kinda nice to have an impact on the flywheel...pressure plate doesnt need it though...tq on those bolts are kinda low and I warn you against using an impact on that. I do suggest when changing your clutch out with a new unit to have your flywheel resurfaced. just my two pennies.

anyways back on topic...Iv only heard of one person on sl having an issue with an f1 clutch. other than hearsay i have no exp with them. it looks like they fully enclosed the springs which gives hope that they will stay in...Id have to see one (f1 disk) front and back for the tc to really see though.

well here are some of my initial thoughts on the clutch...

car feels 100000000x better now pulls harder n it was about time i did it lol but the engagement is down low n it is not like the stock clutch at all in my opinion its alot stiffer but its not too stiff to where its an issue it grabs really quick n its gonna take some time to adjust to but so far its amazing. i used the oem tob as well. jus a few of my initial thoughts anybody that is using this clutch plz chime in n give a mini review so that others can read if they actually use the search button

you can adjust your engagement point by adjusting the clutch peddle (the rod connecting to the clutch peddle

WELL, I have a stage 2 F1 Racing Clutch in mine and it just went out on me today... I'm more than sure it was due to a SH_____Y install considering it's only been 2 months and it didn't act right from day one but I'm still scared to go back to an F1. I'm leaning towards the Exedy OE clutch kit now but I'd like to get a clutch that will allow me to boost down the road.

To explain what happened: I was driving at about 45mph in 4th, cruising obviously, and eased off the gas around a turn and went to accelerate out of the bend and my motor free revved as if it was in neutral. Once again, I felt like the clutch didn't act right from day one, it never had that quick/aggressive feel to it like it should have. This is my first 5spd so I'm definitely not an expert on the matter. I'm going to definitely keep my eyes on this thread because I may go to an F1 clutch when I go boost, I'll just avoid the local guys when it comes to installing it.

I will definitely let you guys know if it was a clutch issue or an install issue. It's either an install issue or the tob. We will see as soon as my Exedy gets here.
