good news and bad news..

good news...it works...

BAD... CEL for knock sensor low input or something like that which sent me into limp mode

now that we know its possible someone try please to figure out if u can put a resistor in place and make this cel not come up

Uhmm try using a diode! Diode isolote away from the knock sensor wire!

please explain more in detail.....

is the low reading to the ecu being caused by interfernce from the fic?

and please explain how to run it more in detail possibly a diagram...

i cant test it again for another week i am redoing my charge pipes

btw my readings at idle was .41-.42v and then i believe while in partial throttle it was reading .24v

Hmm on the standalone it usually reads 0 unless there is something.. You sure u tapped the right wire? I have yet to try it so i dunno

it was the the knock sensor wire, and it could be readin .41 just cuz its not the most healthiest motor? idk i mean i have a slight knock at idle but thats been there for over 15k miles boosted and sprayed so im pretty sure things are decent...no shavings in oil ever niether

"knock" , "det" Is different then valve tap, or rod knock, or piston slap...

If u showing this knock voltage. It could be interferice or something from fic..

It needs to be diode isolated. Tommrow when im not so tired ill draw a diagram!

ok thanks mike, diode makes it so that current flows only one way right? so i would aim it toward the analog a input right?

and wouldnt rodknock or piston slap show up on knock sensor?

Not necessarily. knock in this case detonation. rod "knock" would be better defined as a clunk.

To my knowledge it picks up the actual vibrations of the motor. I'm not an expert, but thats what i know. I'm assuming the rod knock would produce sound waves, while the detonation would produce more of a vibration in the motor.

But, it still might pick up both...
