Hey guys quick question...
About two days ago i noticed my car idling a little richer than what i was used to. It wan nothing alarming at first, at least for me but then i got a code. The car was idling between 13.9-14.8 and the code i got was P0138. My car normally idled between 14.6-15.3 Could it be that my Primary a/f sensor is going bad? It's brand new sensor that i've only had on for a year now. I cleared the code that same day and it hasn't come on since but idle is still the same. Driving wise under cruise, partial, and wot the afrs are fine its just at idle.

Ok. What should i look for? Also a faulty secondary o2 sensor can throw off your afr's?
How do i check this? Sorry i've never really tried to mess with that stuff. I know the scangauge can monitor that stuff but just never bothered to program it in.

No leaks really. At least nothing major. I have a very minor leak coming from where I bottomed out and hit the flex pipe. Meaning the second flex pipe I replaced. So far it hasn't come back yet but I'm continueing to watch it. It just threw me off when my afrs started to run a little rich but now it's back to normal lol. I hate cars lol
so Chris how's everything? Haven't spoken to u in a while.

maybe the hit may have damaged the o2 sensor...kinda like dropping it on the ground one too many times...lol..idk just a thought..
not bad, got a new job and so far so good. I took a $2.50 pay cut but its a job. I either burned out my primary o2 sensor or i damaged it when i dropped it. I was installing my downpipe i had to make and got ready to make my mark to drill out for the o2 bung so i was using the primary o2 sensor as a guide to make sure i wasnt going to run it into anything. so with one hand i was lineing it up and with the other hand making my mark and dropped it....TWICE...freaking butterfingers...lol...poop happens. after that everything went kinda iffy, not a big deal though cause it was hightime i replaced it anyways. I had 50g's on it (miles), atleast 50 passes on the strip, 4years, 20-30hours of tuning, running it rich trying out new things, reinstalled 10-12times. so yeah it was time.

Damm poor sensor went through hell. lol. Congrats on the new job man. The pay cuts sucks but its better than no job. Afr's seem to be good now so i don't know what that was all about. My primary o2 was replaced last year so i know its not that. About a few months ago it was raining pretty bad one day and i hit a puddle thats was a bit deep and thats when i got that code as well as a p0606 code. The code wouldn't clear right away but cleared the next day and didn't come back on until recently and this time it was just that one code. Could the water have damaged the secondary sensor?

maybe moisture in the connector...unlikely but a possibility
yeah the pay cuts suck hard core but its a job...ima go back to school so i can get my pay back. Thats one of the perks of going to school. My employer is a member of the IEC (independant electrical contractors) which is a school for electricians (duh...lol), anyways they set the pay scale and if my employer doesnt pay me accordingly they get booted.

Hey guys,
Sorry i been away for so long. Been busy with school and work as usual. Car is still running good.
Kyle(Hix) - I purchased that BBK that you sent me from fastscions.com. It's actually a Wilwood BBK. The only difference is that this is their 11" rotor BBK which comes with a little bit smaller calipers.

I just installed them two days ago and i followed the instructions properly and bleed the brakes properly according to the instructions but the weird thing i'm experiencing is that sometimes the brake pedal is stiff as hell and the car stops nice and other times its a little mushy and it requires a bit more force for it to stop nice. Now i followed the instruction according to how it said but it said that i may need extra washers to center the caliper. When i installed them they weren't perfectly centered could that be the reason why its mushy at first and then stiffens up???

could also be a vac leak at the brake booster...not sure...or the fact that you have a few things running off the brake booster. any fluid leaking? proper fluid used? idk few things to look at.
i havnt been on much either...work keeps me busy
