Awesome thread revival. Even though we've got a handful of Celicas powerful enough to get into the 10's, you guys beat us to it. Kudos.

The 2az is a pretty good powerhouse. Boosted2.0 over at newcelica.org, the a Toyota know-it-all who created a custom harness to run the Apexi Power FC standalone ECU on our DBW 03-05 GTS's, is interested in creating a 2az swap to solve a weak 1zz engine replacement. A 2az in a Lotus would be pretty nice too. And considering 2az's have been around for a longgg time, getting short blocks for you guys is dirt cheap.

If the 2az was in a lighter car, or in a car just as light as the Celica GTS, our cars would be nothing when boosted by the aftermarket.

The clutch was made just for the allmotor car . how much power are you making to need a CC clutch?

Oh, ok. I'm not making anything right now cuz no motor. It's getting built and when back in the boost will be turned up and hopefully hit the 400whp then make my way up to 500whp+. I have a competition clutch stage 5 waiting to be installed when the motor is back in. The stage 5 should hold for a while but I'm sure a better one will be needed at some point.

I'm not familiar with the Competiton Stage 5 clutch, but don't think the best next step for you would be a Tilton...besides they are around $3500
I think you might want to look into the Exedy when you get to that point...we will let everyone know how it doesn in our car. I know people that run the Exedy in the same class as we are, that are having great results & are happy with the product.

We will keep you posted....
