Absolutley paul called ahead to comp turboand explained to them the deal. He made it as easy ad possible for me. All i had to do was call up and tell them my name.

It's good to hear there are still reputable manufacturers out there! That's one of the reasons I went with Turbonetics. Gotta love their 1 year no questions asked policy

Garrett parts are usually for tractors and such.. won't warranty automotive use. Unless you get the GT series I think.. not too sure.

So I have an odd development. Just got off the phone with Justin from comp turbo and he said that he checked the turbo and the seals were good. He tested it at 80 psi for 20 mins and there were no leaks. He replace the seals anyway but this begs the question why's my car smoking. Comperession test was good and apparently the turbo is good so WTF do I have some other problem

All i can think of at this point would be inadequate oil return?

My next bet would be a kink in the return line

hmmmm....well ima have to agree with the others on the return line then...well i guess throw the turbo back on and make sure ther is no kinks or loops in the return line, see what happens. valve seals maybe?

True dat - could be valve seals - havent really seen that as an issue on our motor but you never know - valve seals wont cause loss of compression - usually with valve seals you will notice smoke on startup than itll go away

ya it tends to dissipate after engine warm up if it's the valve seals.

I'm guessing the pressurized oil feed line doesn't have an escape except into the hot side of the turbo through any possible route. Just a guess.
