Fuel Cut in boost
Yeah, so I installed a boost controller yesterday, and now when I get into boost it seems like the fuel is cutting in and out and then like no fuel at all. any Ideas? it also does it now even when i put it back down to stock boost.

No havent gotten tuned yet, but the first day it was still runnin great at 10 lbs and then today it starts cuttin in boost, so i drop the bosst back down to 7.5 lbs and it cuts still. got a cel so im gonna check it when i friend gets home with the scanner.

did you get the CEL before or after it started cutting out?
What boost controller did you get?
First thing I would do (after checking and clearing the CEL) is turn off the boost controller and see if you still get the fuel cut.
What are your AFRs at when you feel it cut?

Your on the F/IC, right? Your map may not bee tuned up to 10psi. You shoudl look at yoru map and see how high the load is, then subract whatever your absolute psi is. You can check this by pluggin in your laptop to your F/IC and then turning your key to the ON position but dont' turn on the motor. Whatever is says on the "Load" gauge in the F/IC software is what your atmospheric absolute pressure is.
huh?...what did I just say?

That's where you're having problems.
The top port is better intended for electronic boost controllers. Disconnect the boost controller from the top part of your wastegate.
What you want to do is connect the MBC (manual boost controller) IN LINE with the vacuum source going into the side of the wastegate. This will allow you to properly control boost levels. Cap off your vacuum source coming from the BOV. Check out the ghetto diagram I drew up for you to see what I'm talking about. Gotta love paint!
Let me know if you have any other questions.

Oh yeah...
MAKE SURE you have the boost controller all the way down before you start driving your car. Slowly bring it up until you find the point where it starts raising boost. Typically one full turn is 1 psi, but it takes a couple in the beginning before this starts happening.

Well just got back from autozone, and after rerouting the mbc, so far no cut at 8 lbs...ill throw it up to 9/10 lbs on my way to work later and check it out and update again. but so far, so good. Well except for the fact that my clutch just slips like crazy, but thatll be fixed this weekend Thanks joe for the help.
