Fuel cutting out at 118mph - help!

Umm I hope I dont get flamed for this, but the Tc can go much higher than 127 when turbo'd, my buddy has hit 151 on his 08 Auto Tc. And BEFORE anyone says thats impossible, he has a Scangauge and under the max mph it said 151. He is also on stock 17 inch rims. As far as the speedo being off, Im banking on the rims and the speedo/ecu not being recalibrated with the bigger rims.
