Default Full Blown

Well I was sitting in the parking lot at work today and My car started smoking... I was a little shocked b/c yesterday I got it tuned... I quickly shut it off and popped the hood to go take a look.... I look down and there is Oil all over the ground... I look underneath and theres a huge fire... I was like F**k this cant be happening.. I got the fire out and sure enough there was a MONSTER hole in the side of my block... I don't know what happened and I don't care to know... I'm done with that project and am selling it... it has been nothing but a headache since I boosted it.. I was running complete bolt on and this still happened I'm in it so deep its hurting my daughters college fund... I just gotta get rid of it.... anyone think 8k for a 06 with 40k is to much to ask.... the top end is fine It just needs the bottom end.... and I am supper ____ed at my TUNER.... I paid him a lot of $$$$ just so this wouldn't happen...

Wow that really sucks, did you do the install or did a shop do it? I would definitely call the tuner

Shop did everything... but he doesn't want to take responsibility for it... I called him and he said he can show me the log of how they tuned it and it was conservative so there is no reason it should have happened... plus I babied it to work today and I cant believe it happened

damn sucks, you have details like afrs, boost, cels, or any activities that might have caused it to blow? how was the car running after the tune?

Damn man...I am so sorry to hear that. Trust me, I know how it feels...how it feels TWICE.

This car is not meant for boost and I know that now =/

If I were you I would have let the fire catch to the engine and collect insurance =/

no actually this is the 3rd tune in 2 weeks... 2 different tuners though... I'm running FIC and I changed the plugs last week it ran fine so I though it would be ok ... a few days later (Fri) It started acting up so I decided it might be some bad fuel but I drained it and filled it with fresh 94. It didn't help so I took it back to the tune shop Sat and he said he would get to it Mon morning... well heres tues and Im F**ked... I tried to reason with him but he has just gave me a run around

He had the car from Fri-Mon?

What did he all do to this as I am sure he only tuned it for an hour...

A hole in the side of the block is probably from a solid dentonation. That would be where my $$ went on!

Sorry to hear about your loss man.
