Well I had my first experience just dropping the tranny Fri night - what a PITA - I swear I wish I wouldve just pulled the motor/tranny - much easier IMHO and Im quick at it lol I had to put the tranny back in by myself No fun Luckilly my strut bar plus a ratchet tie down = hoist lol

nice, im debating if i should spend to extra 300 to have it done rather then going through the pain myself.

Update, did a compression test. Numbers were 185 180 180 190

My tc is a 05 with almost 62k, when i performed the test, no fuel, and crank it over about 10-12 times. Do those numbers sound healthy?

overall the numbers sound strong but its the difference between the cyl that concerns me..the norm is 180psi and above with maybe a 5% or less difference between cyl. however you are 180 and above so i would venture to say the rings and valves are sealing well and got plenty of life in em

Correct, I drove it around for 20min, then let it cool off for about 5 to take out the plugs. Still was hot though.

Thanks, Ya, one thing that was hard when doing it, was counting the number of times the motor turned over, hence y i said 10-12 cause it turns over so fast lol. Well with ur word, i hopefully think it will be okay. thanks!
