greddy is a rush of air.

i like the greddy, it attracts less attention

ok, but when he starts seeing all the money thats gonna need to be spent for tuning, installation of this and that, lets see if he is gonna want to keep doing it. like i said, don't boost on a budget. start saving money, because if something happens.....

And for the BOV, go on youtube and just search 'greddy bov' and 'hks ssqv' and you'll find cars with them. It won't be 100% exact to the sound it will make on your car, but close enough to differentiate the two.

Someone said the HKS flutters above, it only flutters at low boost, at full boost it's a really high pitch whistle/chirp noise.

Check out Prosportgauges.com

They don't make a wideband yet, won't until the end of June (that's what they told me). But they're premium peak gauges are amazing. They're nearly as good as Uego's and Defi's in quality, and half the cost (boost is 82 and oil pressure is 105).

Better tell your dad to possibly expect a blown motor. It's happened to some people right after they installed it.

Just to give you a general idea of the total cost.

Simple kit - 2500
Exhaust - 700-1000
Gauges - 300-800
Install - 700 (installing mine myself so I have no clue on this number)
Tune - 500-750
Fuel management - 1000

So expect 6500-7500 for everything, minus clutch which will eventually be needed. I'd say about $2000-2500 for your end (exhaust, tune, install, gauges)

People who blow their motors with a simple kit = retards. It's the ones who have no clue wtf is going on, and right after they install everything, they just gun it without breaking it in, or without even tuning it.

As long as you get a safe tune, you don't have much to worry about. More maintenance will be needed. I HIGHLY recommend reading up on turbos, learning how they work, reading other peoples issues with them, and just any general knowledge you can find on them.
