Going turbo in 2 weeks, few questions!
Hey eveyone,
I read these forums a lot and do a lot of searching. So much information that it is hard to decipher what info I want
One of the things I am questioning is Spark Plugs. Which do I need or which are better than others? or are the stock ones ok?
I will be running the Turbonetics Stage 1 for the Auto Tranny.

I just got some NGK Iridium BKR7's in yesterday from paul over at dezod. Gonna be running them with my dezod kit.
Pre-gapped at .040, stock gap!
I'd recommend these.
Hit up Paul_Dezod for a set.

stock plugs are fine......we have ran 12's on 99cent pplugs from wal mart before....The iridiums are the best but do not get to hung up on plugs. Copper plugs get the job done and are a lot cheaper. Nologoy's are worth every penny when you get into 300+whp applications.

I wouldn't recommend running on copper plugs. Even the stock plugs are Iridium. It says right on the Valve cover - Iridium plugs only.
"Colder" plugs dissipate the heat of the combustion faster. The firing end of the plugs do not heat up as fast.
Higher compression ratios (Aka FI - Turbo & Superchargers) will raise the temperature of the engine cylinders and the tip of the spark plugs. To help prevent pre-ignition/detonation, and to add longer life to the engine, you run a colder spark plug (as well as higher octane fuel, etc).
