funny isnt it? that little pos that sparkles could buy so much! Been there done that...
everytime she wants new jewelry, i convert it!
"babe, i want these earings they have on sale..."
"there how much? god, those are my headers!"

"oooh, you should see the new pinky ring they had...its on sale too"
"i could get new brakes and lowering springs for that!"

and so on... its a never ending battle that she usually wins.
GOOD LUCK TO YOU!

i thought that they did the dyno at 4 psi on 91 and if you push 8 psi you needed 94+ @300hp? maybe im wrong. I only ask cause i'm buying the same kit by the end of next month, I need to sell my other car first though. Your not detinating at all? Any suggestions on the kit? thanks

I don't now too much about turbos. But what I do know is that I'm running 93 octane, and the car drives like a champ. When you get this kit you will fly through you rpm,s super fast. We dynoed the car and i gave the #'s we ran. If you want some tech info you can call the shop that I go to. there web site is www.ondemandperformance.com

well when we left the shop we did go from a roll. he got my in 5th gear. It just seems like there isn't enough rpm. But it did surprise him. I was right there the whole time.

haha awesome.
Well I dunno bout you, but end of 4th is really enough for a race.
Going into 5th and riding it out is probably too dangerous.
He does have more torque. What psi is he pushing?

okay, so i was wrong it is set at 8psi test, but that's with 94 octane. So my question about the kit is do you have to use 94 octane, can you get away with 91 or will it detinate, and what octane are you using @ 10 psi, and whether you think it would detinate at 8 psi on 91, cause it's hard to find 94+ out here in cali to put into my tank if I was to get the kit. please excuse my ignorance as i am new to the turbo field, and thanks for yout time

See i've never been to Cali. I don't know what kind of laws you guys have out there, but all I can tell you right know is what i run. I use 93 octane. And yes you have to use it. But I would also suggest watermethonol. But that is a whole other story. But I'll see what I can find out for you.

You have the ball bearing turbo right? Is he on the stock turbo?

Congrats on your kit man. The Turbonetics kit does use a ball bearing turbo for the guy who asked. That engine bay looks familiar

All, the turbo is a T3/T04E 50 trim Turbonetics turbo. Not Garrett. Turbonetics makes their own turbos :D As for the tune. Turbonetics numbers of 244/262 were on 91 octane at 8 PSI. You can absolutely turn up the boost and re-tune the Unichip at your local tuner regardless of what octane you have. As long as the tuner keeps it rich enough you shouldn't have any issues.

Congrats on getting the car back and putting down great numbers. I'm glad you are happy with the kit. The Tc is no joke with that kit on there. Not that it was before :D

Its not illegal to vent to atmosphere technically. The problem with it is that it causes a temporary rch condition which increase emissions making it not emissions legal but thats a whole nother story. This valve is rec-circ'd so its not too loud anyways.
