Default Got a quote from the shop, would like to hear some opinions!

Hello everyone.
I just moved to San Angelo from NY due to me being a member of U.S. Armed Forces.
Anyway now i have means to install my turbo kit ( Finally ! )
and i got a quote a quote from one of the shops in Dallas , called Hppracing.
The total quote is $1500 that includes tuning AEM FIC , installing turbo kit and Electronic cutout, that also includes $200 military discount.
What do you guys think is it high for Texas?

I also got few more quotes from few more different shops.

$600 install and tune , no cutout from maximum-velocity-motorosports in San Antonio but thing with them is that i called them few times and spoke to the guy there. Have a feeling that i have to chase them around, they dont return calls and their voicemail is full ( to me means they just dont check it )

another $600 quote for install and tune is from Evolution motorsports in El Paso, the guy on the phone was nice explained everything i asked, but the only thing is that El Paso is like 500 miles from San Angelo.

What do you guys think ?

Anyone has any suggestions maybe a shop that you might know ?

sounds high to me, but i only charge club members beer to install there kits lol.

but 1500 seems alittle high, did you explain to him you will have a base map and the tune will only need tweaked? and the kit is pure bolt on? (im assuming its a tt or dezod kit, with the fic.) i got my cutout installed for 60 bucks here, and they fabbed there own piping cause the supplied Y was too big for where i wanted to cutout.

Install it yourself save the dough. Its really not that hard to install...then get it tuned at a good tuner.

Yeah install isn't bad. If you can install the turd supercharger, a turbo is no harder.

I think that'll sum up the majority of the responses.
