I like learning what all it has. I've read the manual probably about 3 or 4 times now, just seeing all the features and what not. You said you are not interested in Speed cut removal, and raising the revlimit, but you mentioned not until you tap out at the drag strip. If you can get both for the same price w/pnp, then Ultimate for sure. I Soflow pointed out what I left out, and that was the 2 step launch control feature (also has flat shifting feature as well, still trying to figure how to hook that up). But if you are serious about the drag strip stuff, then nothing better than being able to launch in boost via a 2 step. F/IC doesn't provide that. If you are just looking for a good reliable drive on the street and ocassional race then sure, either one is going to be good. But if you trying to get the edge on Racing, then it's Ultimate or Standalone. Accept no substitues.

PS....2 step at 4k rpms is very intimidating.

There is no need to run both a pressure sensor and a Wideband input, as the two maps have different functions with the Ultimate. You are not suppose to run both with the Ultimate. For the PS...used to tune off of boost instead of throttle. For the Wideband input, simply for Auto tuning. Where you can just plug what you want the A/F ratio to actually be at Set RPM's. It also states that you should use this for preliminary tuning, and then fine tune using the other maps, not run them both.

i use the wideband plug into my emanage so i can tune by myself.....i like to datalog and see my afr's in my datalog along with my pressure

so start off with a wideband and then fine tune with a pressure sensor. so it is that easy to tune it yourself if you have a lap top ?

Need a lap top regardless. You can run the Wideband setup and simply plug in numbers. Like if I want the car to be at 11.5 A/F ratio at 5000 rpm, then I simply type 11.5 and it's done.

But yeah, lap top for sure.

hey rhythm.....be careful with the af target map because you need the parameters set almost perfect....if not you can get some major over correction and run supper lean or supper rich.....the best thing i did was manual do it to where i was running like 10.5 afr's and have the af target map do very little adjustments at a time....it takes longer but is deff safer.....also you mention hookin up a boost solenoid.......i think your talkin about the profec eo-1 that mounts on the dash right? and not just a projec b spec 2?

^^naw, not the profec's. A Boost solenoid, the profecs are boost controllers.

I will just mess with the AF target map a little bit, nothing to crazy. I want Toan from PTuning to tune up my Ultimate for me. About a 10hr drive just to get tuned...

Wait, you make it sound like you have hundreds of hours of experience tuning. Gotcha.

Where have I ever implied I have hundreds of hours tuning? Like I need to be a tuning expert to be able to tell which system is better....give me a break, it aint Rocket Science.

i tried fooling around with the af target map some.....not a big fan....i prefer to just drive around and tune that way....i have my buddy tuning when im daily driving and most of the time i tune boost by myself through datalogs. tuning is really not that hard you just have to know what all the variables do.......as don from dezod said.......theres a good tune and a bad tune.....no moderate.....i love my setup......14.7 afr everywhere and the slowly start to get rich in boost.....i use the vehicle speed map for the daily drivability and for load tuning.....my next step is to work with the airflow maps........i still say emanage FTMFW
