greddy turbo=ball bearing???

because:
$3,595 for kit
+
$795 (option 1) fuel kit/ $1175 (option 2) fuel kit
________________________________
$4390/$4770 total
vs
Dezod S1-> ~$4000
or
Ptuning -> ~$4900
or
Decendant -> ~$4200
Just much better quality stuff out there than Greddy/Trust who was rumored to have filed for bankruptcy back in 09 in japan.

the bankruptcy was in Japan and did not effect the branch in Irvine, CA so i read.
Im pretty sure i have seen it cheaper but its still a good kit. I will be pushing mine to 300whp in the next coming months. I got a great deal on a used kit but brand new i would definitely go for a dezod S1 kit. Ptuning is sick but just a little too expensive

Well a used Greddy kit is $2k, so if money is the only reason not to get it that's not a big issue. Can anyone list a technical reason why not? My understanding is that it's a solid kit, though it is kinda dumb how the injectors and management are extra. I'd say go for it if you find a used kit in good condition, just make sure all non-standard parts are included (oil feed adapter, oil pan, oil line, etc.) The bolts are standard metric.

Sorry guys for spiraling this thread off-topic. My reasoning for saying not to get the kit is purely opinionated. In short, it just dosen't meet MY standard. I fail to remember how hard money can come now and again for some, and by all means if you can nab up a deal on a greddy kit, by all means do it

No problem. I actually sold my Greddy turbo for the xB for a similar reason, switching to a Garrett T25. The greddy turbo worked well, but I'm moving up to a built motor and the small 14G housing wasn't up to the task. I would recommend getting the optional pressure sensor if you use eManage blue, it really helps tuning.
