Default Greddy Turbo Kit for tC out now

I got this from ClubSciontC.com:
To all that are interested.

Greddy Performance now offers an OFF-ROAD turbo kit for the Scion TC. This kit includes the following items:

Scion TC Turbo Kit (Not Legal on most Highways)
- Mitsubishi/GReddy TD-05H 18G turbo
- Stainless steel tubular manifold
- Cat-delete down pipe (2-piece)
- Intercooler included (Type-31V)
- Aluminum intercooler piping

The turbo kit setup is bolt-on. Customer needs to obtain fuel and engine management upgrade. We do offer an E-Manage map upon request. The map is designed for running 440cc injectors running at 8.5psi of boost. Power output with that setup would yield approximately 100hp. Stock 158hp, w/GReddy kit 257hp.

The retail price for the turbo kit is $3495 and the part number is 11510090. The kit is currently available through dealers now. We are also letting our dealers now this information as well. Some still have not been contacted with the above information. Just let them know that the information was released by Charles from Greddy Performance in the west coast office. Please feel free to call Greddy with any other question you may have. Our number is 800-473-3392.

Signed,
Charles Shepherd

I'm kind of disappointed with Greddy because they deleted the cat which we cant use it on the road... I wish they provide two version of cat or no-cat. I have to go with Turbonetics Turbo because they have two choice and it has good horsepower.

Greddy, c'mon and say you forgot some stuff in that kit for the price.

No wastegate. no BOV. gotta buy the piggy back seperate.
No larger injectors. And I was told they weren't going to release it w/o it being CARB Exempt.

No engine management.

No fuel management.

Not CARB appr...not street legal at all.

That's a trifecta that says "lets go drop 4,000 into a stereo instead."

Just watching to see where this go's. I cant believe they left out engine management but said it was neccesary. If you know its necessary, then why not add it.

Actually...yes, that is what it means heh. The oem header design pretty much eliminates the legality of doing a swap. You'll still probably pass emissions with an aftermarket header, but if a knowledgeamable cop pops your hood and knows his stuff, he can legally impound your car and make you pay up to $15,000.

The 18g has internal wastegate. Wonder if the alum. intercooler piping is flanged??

Turbonetics is still on top. IMHO.

That was only meant for a high resolution photograph of the kit. Actually getting the kit adds a few dollars to the purchase price :p

2700 shipped sounds good until you buy a 300-400 dollar emanage, 300 dollar wiring harness (not required but recommended), and 400 dollar injectors, once you buy that I'd just go Turbonetics
