No, the downpipe doesnt come with a cat built into it. You can still use the OEM midpipe cat, or get a new hi flow cat welded on to still be legal. You will need an antifouler as well.

Turbonetics and Dezod offer their kits with a built in cat.

so over all the turbonetics is the best because it has everything needed nothing is needed to be purchased? I think greddy just wanted to get a kit out because they saw so many turbo's out and a demand for greddy was high, but they came out with it to fast and its a dissappointment

At this point in the game, Turbonetics has the supply for all the demand & nobody so far has had any problems with install, drivability, etc. So they would be your best bet.

accually its not that bad, if someone wanted to do custom like add their own bov and management system this kit would be better because add it all up, still cheaper than the turbonetics kit

good thing we dont have to worry bout that in texas as long as we have the main cat were fine.
well that true about the cat in Texas but I'm sure it goes for some other state but you dont want to buy all the stuff while the other turbo kit have everything for you to just bolt-on install and be done.

sorry to burst yer bubble but if you remove a working cat from your car its a federal offense in all 50 states.
Yea mattvs is right, only if you guys want to put the tC in a serious race then can use without the cat but off-road only.

Just put another cat on your midpipe, you will still be emissions legal. I highly doubt you will get pulled over for this or any other turbo kit for the tC.

Yea but I would rather Greddy have their cat add to this turbo for the tc to design fit and better horsepower and dont have to use the OEM cat. I would use Turbonetics unless Greddy is going to make another kit but it better be a compete kit because I know Greddy was or maybe still is the best Turbo system of all.

all i gota say is im glad i live in tx. your car has to be falling part running no cats running extremlly rich and have holes everywhere just to fail. as long as you have one cat in texas you can pass emissions.
