That's what I'm talking about. I hope it hold up to. For what it's worth I like to see someone take things into thier own hands instead of complaining. Just a thought but if it hold up maybe you could do a write up for everyone to see. I mean one everyone S/C will be out of warranty and some other may need it. Even though by then you'll probably be able to get it rebuilt.

As far as what Josh said about vortech and trd.. that is fully understandable. Work in a large corporation and you will understand the business relationships and how they can be a pain sometimes cause of the red tape.

As for not complaining and taking matters into your own hands.. good job, and I hope it hold together for you. Most people will come on here and cry for three pages for some small issue that is under warranty and wont even take the time to take it to the dealer.. much less even look at fixing it themselves. Hopefully it was just an install issue and yours will stay together. I havent taken a look at how the SC all goes together, but did you put lock tite on the set screw? Also, keep an eye on it.. again, I havent looked at how the SC is put together, but some turbos on the older merkurs had a habit of losing the oil seal... the issue with them was that when it went.. it sucked oil from the oil pan like a hoover.. by the time you saw you were crop dusting you were about to shell a motor :D It sounds like the SC is just causing a leak.. so not as bad.

And about getting the SC beefed up.. I dont think it would be worth the high price of the SC, then the cost of having it custom modded. Unless you already had bought one and it broke.

LOL, I love the little inuendos about me in here.. lol..
So sad...
But, I am sry to see what happened, and I am glad to see that you fixed it.
Now, what I am REALLY interested in is seeing if we can get someone to show us EXACTLY what is going on, instead of coming up with all these possibilities.

I think we deserve the right to know what the weak link is in this set up, and I am betting there is someone "cough" TRD "cough" that knows.

And BTW, just to reiterate my point... I didnt complain about not getting a warranty or anything... Just remember that before you go making snide comments....

P.S. In NO way am I being mean, or trying to start crap.. PLEASE understand that. I know that I was at fault for what happened to my car, and that is why I ended up purchasing another S/C, and hopefully nothing goes wrong with this one, and when I am more financially stable I will continue what I had been doing.. Looking to help you all out to find more power...

It's wasn't snide it was just a comment and it was very true. You just wanted someone to give you the answer to your problem. You just didn't like the answers you got.

lundy, you are just gonna get blamed for not having a heat shield on man. That is what would have "caused" the problem....
