Default Guaging Intrest in a turbo kit. Need some insight

Dear Scionlife,

I have built 2 mustangs so far, Heads/cam/intake, nitrous, s/c and turbos on them. I am highly mechanicly inclined but I havent gotten to indepth into the turbo scene.

6months ago I purchased a brand new 09 Scion Tc RS 5.0. The only modications that I have done to it is a custom short-throw hurst shifter and completely murdered the car out.

The car is dog slow compared to my 550hp mustang. I am looking into modifying my tc. I am not knowledgeable with these cars as far as engine/drive terrain specs. I want this car to be as dependable and reliable as it sits now. I am not looking for anything overkill. Ive always wanted a turbo on this tc since the day I bought it.

My tc has roughly 12k on her, I take extremely good care, no drag racing/beating on it.

I am located in Chicago/N.W. Indiana area. If someone has a turboed tc locally, I would love to check it out and maybe go for a spin if its possiable. Please let me know if this is a step worth taking.

I spent over 20k on this car, and I also purchased a 6yr/100k bumper/bumper warranty haha

I can't wait to hear from everyone. Thanks alot

Your going to appreciate the car ALOT more once its on boost. No questions asked its alot more fun and youll want to drive it around everywhere. Several Companys have kits mainly Dezod and PTuning are the top runners. Hit either one of them up for info their both nice companies with nice employess.

It sounds like you are looking to not only turbo the car, but potentially keep modifying it in the future. I would stick to Dezod for a more budget-oriented build, or PTuning if you are going for a setup that is better suited for high HP off the bat, but costs a pretty penny more. Either way, you can't go wrong.

Bump, installed one of these for a customer not to long ago. Went really smooth. If they included slim lines i would say this kit is a perfect fitment!

I loved the fact it came with everything needed including oil filter, silicone, hoses, and all top of line goodridge lines!

Some kits dont even include vac line
