It is not open, well not totally... I drilled a small hole close to the top of the catch can about 1/8" in size so that it could vent without issues with both hoses attached. If I had a small filter and an extra fitting I would just tap it out and put a filter on it which is what I may end up doing. After all it is just a catch can, I am not worried about the oil in it getting dirty Also the lines are so long I am not worried about anything getting in that hole and back up the lines!

so you are running both vents to the can and no return from the can to the intake? Which is why you need the "vent"?

Actually the running it open with no filter was directed to kytc who said he was running open for a while now.

gotcha. Andc yeah, you got it dead on. 2 lines and it is vented open from the can for now. I am going to look into running a line to the intake in the future for it.

i'll probably use a T-fitting and connect the two engine vents to T and the outlet of the T will go to the can leaving the other can port to route to the intake manifold upstream of the charger.

If you don't have to worry about emissions just do what desert did^ and it will keep egt's lower.
