^^ yup could be trying to get annoying so people will flame him, but could building something good under the hood, i dunno..

So forpinks has confirmed it, he bought the greddy kit w/ EU management 440cc injectors, i dont know what else he needs to know i think pretty much all has been covered on his previous posts.

But, really guys, what else do I need for my turbo, is an axle back necessary, 10W30 synthetic oil for the extra load, please tell me if I missed to buy something else?

Once my turbo gets here, I'll check the wastegate if it opens properly and tape the box back and store it a few feet away from my tC : ) to be installed when my friend gets back by February from his temporary transfer at his job...

(OK, I can't weld alright! he does, I have to get my BOV welded by him and I want the oil feed barb welded on too...)
why wait till feb.....get it welded at a shop, it's pretty cheap....but then again, with the amount of questions you ask, I don't think you could do the install, no offense......

I'm not going to a shop except for the tuning...

I could certainly do the kit install with a helper for a day, but I don't want to install it without a BOV and pre-cat welded on and I don't think I enjoyed my tC N/A that much yet.

I'll have my friend weld it since he has a bunch of welding equipment in his garage and he'll do it for free. (He used to be a welder at a ship yard in CA, now he works 75 stories above welding support beams.)

My kit is scheduled to arrive before 5:00PM today.

I already have my HKS BOV, EM pkg.2, and yes! turbo in a big crappy box filled with foam in my living room for 3 days now! (The gauges should be here tomorrow.)

There's only one problem... I don't know how to check the waste gate! Can someone tell me how to check it???

Also, the instruction on the EMU states that I need to cut the wires to my ECU and tap them, I obviously need a harness, and where can I get a good "eco friendly" cat-con to be welded after turbo install?

Thanks!

The kit he got is known for haveging a stuck wastegate cause the pin gets bent during shipping, or something like that. There have been numerouse posts on this topin on SL. I can't believe pinks still has not figured out how to search yet.
It's really to bad, cause he really should find that threat about how to check the wastegate, or it could mean bad things.

How's the saying go? "Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime"

I clicked on the search button, I put "stuck wastegate" in the search box and narrowed my search to just the tC FI forums. I found it on the first page. And here's a hint. It has "Greddy" and "Help" in the title.

dude if you want cats you can buy high flow cats from random technologies. they come in different lengths and sizes. if you can find a friend to help you install it all you have to do is use there vehicle, set up an appointment with a shop to have the bov and oil return welded. that morning get up really early, take off the oil pan and take them to be welded. while they are welding them you can go back home and work on some of the install. that is what i did with mine.

you don't have to cut and splice the wires for the ecu. just go to dezod.com. they make a plug and play harness to fit the ultimate. i have that also. just unplug the harnesses from the ecu, plug them into the dezod harness and plug the dezod harness into the ecu. then plug the harness into the emanage and your done.

one other thing you will have to do with the emanage is pull out the circuit board and change the ignition jumper. it is on the wrong voltage. don't ask me why greddy sends it like that they just do. it is very simple. there are threads for it on here or just call dezod and they can tell you how to do it.

^^^ Thanks for the info!

I just checked the wastegate using compressed air and it "seems" to fully open properly, I also bought a used oil pan and a fuel rail at a junk-yard from a wrecked 07 tC A/T.

Well, I will get the harness from Dezod when I install, but how come it cost way too much for wires and plastic pieces???

Also, I think my HKS BOV is pretty big for the 240WHP I'm aiming for, I'm thinking about exchanging it for a GReddy RS BOV. (the one that looks like R2D2)

What benefits can I get from keeping the HKS SSQ BOV?
