Default Having a hard time deciding!!

I'm having a really hard time deciding on what kit to get.

GReddy:
Pros:
Cheap
Same gains at Turbonetics
Cons:
Cheap price means cheap parts?

Turbonetics:
Pros:
I think it has way better parts
Cons:
TOO EXPENSIVE

Can anyone help me out?

Oh, if you vote, please tell me why you chose that choice. I won't know why you picked that, therefore, I won't know what makes it better.

Turbonetics = 1 year, no questions asked warranty
Greddy = no warranty

Turbonetics = 100 whp gain
Greddy = 70 - 80 whp gain

Turbonetics kit = around 5k (some places for 4.5k)
Greddy kit with engine management(t'netics got it already) = around 4k

ive been wondering a lot about this too but am leaning towards greddy because you can get the kit and management for less than 3500.

1. true.
2. where did you get those numbers? it all depends on the tune...
3. see above (and http://www.frsport.com/index.php?tar...roduct_id=1796 )(not advertising, just tried to find a low price on it..)

1. thank you
2. those numbers are posted on the respective companies websites
3. you proved my point...WITH the engine management/fuel management...it's 3600 before tax and shipping for the greddy which is around 4k...don't forget the fuel management...it's pretty important for f/i

I chose T-netics because the Unichip is 110% better then Greddy emanage any day of the week.

Did you look at any other kits?

Dezod, roughly $4200, = 230 - 280whp 5 - 11psi (about 90 - 140 gain)

Zpi Stage 1, roughly $4200 = 300whp (I Think 8.5psi) about 160 gain

Zpi Stage 0, roughly $2600 = 230whp 5psi (about 90 gain)

Personally I think turbonetics. is overpriced at $5600
The Greddy is at first glance cheap ($2700) but the kit doesnt come with injectors, or e-manage, which will run you another 1200. plus you have to do the tuning yourself.

I know the ZPI kits come pre-tuned
Don't know abot Dezod
As far as I know ZPI isn't backed up with there orders still.

Greddy kit 11psi 296whp 330wtq...

Greddy is the best bang for the buck. Others are pricey and do the same damn thing. I doubt anybody on this board has the need to max out the Greddy kit... 300whp is just fine for a tC...anymore and you could be shelling out $$$$ for a new motor.

Copying my post? :D

I went GReddy - it's a little cheaper and better for my application's goal.

Since you are in Colorado and there are a ton of Greddy tuners and slim to none Unichip tuners I would lean towards Greddy. What happened to you doing a custom build after you come watch my build?

Could not have said it better, most of the kits are using the same turbo anyway. It's just the tune that goes along with it; the Greddy should do 350whp easy. Save the money and use it on a high-flow exhaust and or anything else that will raise the power on the Greddy.

A friend recommended me to buy a kit and upgrade from there since I`m a beginner to this stuff. I`m sure there`s an Unichip tuner in Denver, looked it up awhile back.

When you doing the build?

Yea, how much BHP/WHP can the internals take? Would like to start at 250 WHP, then bump up to 300 WHP, and then finally, bump it up to 350 WHP.

I have a Magnaflow Exhaust, guess I could get a custom exhaust made and sell the Magnaflow one.

How do I get more WHP? More boost? If so, how do I get more boost?

Nope, it`s just a bunch of parts from different companies pieced together. Don`t trust them well and they`re not a big name as Turbonetics and GReddy.

I was VERY interested in getting the GReddy kit from The Performace Driver, but they didn`t list enough details. Not sure if they`re legit.
