Someone had a pretty cool idea of taking a Stainless pot cutting the top off, cutting out the shape, and then drilling mounting holes for it and it came out really nice after polishing it up a bit. But depending on the angle of your turbo it may not work for you to keep it from warping the rad.

The best thing I have seen as far as function is the insulation wrap.

give a shout to TheFantasticG...hes got a pretty good one...the only thing i dont like about it is its black and it faded a little but you can run that car at the track all day long and put your hand on the blanket after a run...its warm but not hot...I was very impressed with it...

btw im right now in the middle of making a turbo shield....stainless steel....I maybe doing more fab work as things progress...

the material inside the wrap is just regular heat wrap material like that fiberglass kinda stuff haha ...then u wire them together and then wrap it round and tie the wires together haha...the pic is kinda bad...it actually is more rounded and shapped to the housing than the pic looks..

well u see how i have my heat wrapped downpipe...that material is inside the silver/chrome wrapped around the housing...soo wen that gets wet...if yours ever does it will just smoke to just get off the water and burn it off...i have vents in my hood right ontop of the turbo so it smokes wen ever it gets wet...and most likely wen you first put it on it will prorobly smoke to burn off some chemicals and oils at first but its normal for it to smoke at first

yeah the dei (i think its dei..lol) header wrap will smoke at first but then it will level off untill you either get it wet or oil on it...
