Default Help Help HELP!!!!!

okay...just went out and started the car and the idle was very lean 17.5 thru --- on the wideband then i got a CEL code p0301 Missfire in cylinder 1 on my scanner so i check the spark plug and it looked fine. cleared the code started up again and samething. so i thought it was the hotwires i have, took them out and tried again samething P0301 but idle is now between 15.8-16.9. Could it be the coil-over plug itself please help thanks

Yeah check the 02 sensor but do also look very closely at the coil pack I had hot wires and they messed up one of my coils up pretty bad corroding the spring inside of it and melting the lil rubber booty on the bottom causing the same problem you have on cyl. 3 I replaced the coil pack from a junk yard ripped out the nologies and never used them again.

im not sure the 02 sensor would cause the issue but try checking it against a known good one if you have a buddy that has a scion, also would highly reccomend you ditch the nology's especially in a f/i set-up.

Good, they have been known to cause some problems and they sure did with me, also check and make sure that all of your coil packs still have springs in them, they can easily fall out during the removal of the hotwires. One of mine fell out and I didnt notice and the car made all sorts of sparky and bad noises when I put the coil pack back in.

An ignition misfire will cause the AF to go lean.

Check for spark on cylinder one.

Hey guys...okay so tested the o2 sensor with a good one and mine was working 100%. so then i performed a spark test on all the plugs all working. so i was dumb founded till i went to test the injectors. come to find that one of the clips came loose. not to the point where its noticable but enough to keep the injector from firing. so the car idles fine tone wise but the afr has changed 14.0-4. i haven't seen the afr underboost yet but will post up shorty when i do thanks for all the help again.

loose injector harness would definitely give you a misfire and cause you to run lean. That would have been the first thing on my list! At least it didn't cost you anything.
