Default help me out here

my wife has a tc and i want to know about trd chargers i have a cobalt ss/sc and the little lady wants to keep up with it. im pushin 270whp and 235wtq what does she need besides the trd charger. what are you doin to hit 270whp

it would be much cheaper for you to go the turbo route as stated above...the SC will be costly, merely impossible to push 270whp and much less reliable..
look around the F/I threads for mixed reviews on this everlasting debate.

yea, if she doesnt have one already you will have to get one used since they discontinued them. All I have seen is problems with them anyways, best bet would be to go turbo.

yea unless you get a company that will custom build you a s/c and will make sure everything is built properly, i'd go turbo or stay na, because its rare to find people who havent had an issue with the s/c on their tc

Your wife needs/wants a Turbo, not the S/C. SC on your Cobalt does not have the same lack luster performance as one on a tC. Turbo is more efficient for us, and her goals.

with a supercharger, 9.5 psi pulley, and exhaust, i did 225 whp. not quite enough to keep up with you're cobalt. a simple turbo kit can hit your numbers with just 10 psi.

the bearings go on them all the time, you can name something and it has probably happened. It is just a horrible design.

i guess she will have to settle with N/A. what #s are u guys hittin with full bolt ons im talkin head port n polish, port n polish throttle body, cams, header, catback, intake and tune

yea, tc's are the best candidate for na you wont see huge numbers like in other cars.

dude ppl are selling full turbo kits on here in the classifieds for under 2 grand with management and injectors.... u woulda spent over a grand anyway doing the s/c route with bolt ons..

2.79 pully @ 16.5psi , light weight crank pully, port n polished tb, 3inch CAI, 60# injectors, header, 3 inch down pipe with electric cut out, 2.5 inch exhst, heat exchanger, custom dryice s/c coolant box, cryo2 intake bulb with spray bar on the heat exchanger, tune, aem wideband, autometer boost gauge, interceptor gauge, thats about it for hp mods. custom paint, spoiler, eibach sportlines, slotted rotors w/ hawk hps, 55%tint. and next month the crowning jewel will be my freshly ported and polished head with full Ferrea valves and springs at gm racing specs will be on with a smaller 2.7 pully and custom dual pass intercooler plate. thats about it for now

yea but the dealer said she couldve been able to roll over the payments on the sc into her car payments but since i hear its discontinued and its ____ty i guess its out of the picture. thanks any way for your help

thanks you but Dave the owner of http://headgamesmotorworks.net/ is a close friend and my sister works for him so i got the hook up. siriously though thanks for the look out.
