Default High Mileage Boosting

Hey guys. I've had my tc for about 4 years now, its got about 95k miles on it. In the near future i plan on boosting it. Would you guys recommend doing this at such high mileage? When i do this i dont plan on having it as a daily driver for long afterwards but im just curious if it would be worth it or not..

I boosted my tC at 97k and I didn't have any issues at all! As the previous post stated, do a compression test to see how healthy the motor is before you boost it.

I boosted mine at 100k. It just turned 136k and all is well. Do a compression test and leak down test and go from there.

As it sits right now im on 13 psi. All stock internals. It doesnt blow any smoke nor burn any oil. I def need a retune tho cuz i installed the dezod fuel return setup. But u gotta remember, it doesnt matter how much boost u run, it depends on turbo size, efficiency of the turbo as well as ur other components for example, ur intercooler, tune and fuel upgrades n management. Theres been guys pushing around 400hp on stock motors. Idk how long it lasted but us guys that have been on here for a while have def seen people do it.

I saw a thread on here from the greddy staff and they are selling turbos for 1700 with no fuel management, and they its able to produce 100+ hp on 8.5 psi, and ill be satisfied with that to start off with. Of course ill push it further as time goes by and learn more. I just figured i'd start off small since im new to FI.

you cant do 8.5 without a fuel management, think the highest on stock ecu with stock injectors,is like 5 psi i believe....you will def need one any how,if you wanna up the boost in the near future

I just re read the thread. I read it wrong. They made 100+ hp @ 8.5 psi with management. But getting the management wouldnt be a problem, i was just hoping to save some money for the time being.

Best thing to do is NOT to cheap out. Spend the extra now or spend even more later.
