Well, probably in about a week or so, I'm gonna go to my bank and see about getting a loan for $5,000.

I Think I have everything covered, and this is what I'm coming up with:

Turbo Toyotas:
Stage one kit WITH E-manage Blue and 550CC Injectors: $3,800
Total: $3,800

ZPI:
Pre-tapped oil pan: $175
Exhaust manifold gasket: $30
NGK Iridium Spark plugs: $13 PER PLUG.
Total: $260

Glow Shift:
A Pillar three gauge pod: $50
Boost Gauge: $30
Air/Fuel Ratio Gauge: $40
Oil Pressure Gauge: $40
Total: $160

Oil Filter: $20
Oil: $20
Total: $40

Tune: $700

Grand Total: $4,960

5000 for parts, I hope you really have done your research though. Yur spending all but 4 dollars and trust me, with turbos come other little problems here and there. You may want to think about 6 or 7 just to make sure you cover odds and ends.

$700 for tune? thats seems really really high.....here in CA.....a great tune from a famous place doesn't cost more than $300 for 2 hrs of tuning and several dyno runs.....

Ok let me help you out pricing wise...

Those NGK plugs.. are no way $13 a piece.. I think I got mine from DragRaceInc (RSXClub.com) for 8.75, next day shipping included..

Don't buy the pretapped oilpan.. just take that bad boy off and take it to an exhaust shop if you dont have a drill that can get through that.. That'll save ya a bunch of money..

Tune: There is no way a simple tune is going to cost you $700. To tune an emanage, its quite simple. I paid 160/hr and completely tuned and running perfect after that hour.

I'd say the only thing I would change from your little list of goodies, is go with the AEM Wideband, can't go wrong with that gauge, its top of the line, and you want your AFR's to be perfect, and with the Glowshift, you won't be able to tell..

Nice job on the support guys. He sounds pretty confident about his decision, so maybe he's smart enough to pull it off? Good luck bro.

1st of all there is no way a bank is going to give an 18 yr old an unsecured $5000 loan, they just don't do that. and your parents would be pretty irresponsible if they got one for you.

Altough, I feel your pain, but I'm sure has hell glad I saved up.

Your wasting money on the oil pan.
13 bucks a pop for spark plugs is crazy
Pick up a wideband
Have some extra cash for the little extra things your gonna need
Where are you getting tune, 500 is bout right from certain tuners that have to make there own map.

Good luck, I was 18 when I bought my dezod kit im now 19 and I got what I got. Its very possible....

Also helps when you get a GREAT basemap to work with and your tuner does not have to start from scratch.

You might want to ask Todd at Turbo Toytoas if that pre tapped oil pan will work with his kit. He was telling me something about needing it tapped in a certain spot.
And you'll need sealant to get the pan back on.
And spend the extra money on the AEM Wideband. It'll save your butt. Besides, I think that glowshift one is a narrowband, which won't work with our cars.

Good luck and happy boosting!

So you are going to Ask the bank for a loan to Turbo your Stock tC (I say Stock cause of your Profile)....So you will be making payments on your Turbo kit? I hope you either ask the bank for more money or you are able to make payments and buy other stuff that is really important than just a power add on...Cutch, Flywheel, Suspension Maybe an LSD, Beter than Stock tires.....Turbo kit wont mean crap if you cant put the power to the ground...Not baggin on you...but these are things you will need to get the full potential out of your Turbo kit...

Good luck and Happy boosting!
