Default How long has your TC trd supercharger lasted?

I was thinking about buying a trd supercharger, but Im a little worried about its reliability. How many miles/ years has your tc trd supercharger lasted, and would you recommend it?

my s/c bearings and shaft lasted 8 months and 14,632 miles. just out of warranty and it would have cost $1895 and install for a new one. if you want boost dont skimp and go the s/c route just go turbo. i have not drove my tc since november last year. if it break and its not warranted they dont offer any over counter parts to get you up and running every thing must be custom made thank the scion gods we have some great pepole that are getting some parts made up for us

Mine has a hair over 50,000 on the supercharger, no rebuild needed, still my first supercharger.

the supercharger's reliability depends on the driver, true, but most importantly, it depends on the installation more than everything.

and when you get it, don't just beat on it, because it is warrantied, take the time to break it in. it needs oil, and having moving parts that need are going to settle in, so if you get it, go easy on it for 500-1000 miles.

i've had mine since last march, and it has behaved perfectly, and it is running 9.5 psi. couldn't ask for it to do a better job.

its pretty much how you drive with it on and the installation and what you have to help keep the sc more reliable.

i just found out on mine that i took out a while ago, that the shaft was really wrecked inside so my buddy is having one made for me and once it's on...im sellin if youre interested. But it's not bad...like everyone said, if you don't beat on it, it will do fine...especially the 07+ s/c's, i heard they're a little more reliable

well I had my first supercharger on for about 4 months, 5k miles and found out my seal went bad. Other than that, it works great since it's been replaced. I love it. Perfect for my area, faster than most, reliable and most importantly LEGAL lol. Oh yeah and I have an '05

I have been charged for 8-9 months now with 9.5 pulley, but if you want fast then go turbo i say. if you auto tranmission go supercharger just for the fun factor.

11 months and about 12k miles later, needs new idle pulley and bearing.

7 months 2 months of that being with a 9.5psi pulley. Hopefully the new custom shaft /better bearings will make it last longer. Heat is the #1 enemy to the bearings so i'll be picking up an ait carbon fiber hood like the one dan garner runs cause it has a vent right about the supercharger.

Ive got about 30k on my 1st and original s/c. Ive been running the 9,5 pulley for about a year and ive been running a fmic & bov for a lil while now and no probs what so ever. I let it warm up almost fully on a cold engine and drive slow untill fully warm. I dont beat on it too often.lol.I hope i didnt just jinx myself
