Default how loud with turbo?

i ordered a zpi stage 0 with all the fixins, etc.....i'm runnin an axle-back and wondered how much louder with the turbo will the car be? is it better to get a resonator in order to control some of the sound, seeing that i don't want to attract the wrong attention? also, has anyone been pulled over or got a fix-it ticket with their turbo set up? haha, thanks all!

turbo'd actually act as a muffling device. the tone should go lower

I have a ZPI stage 0.5 with a full ZPI exhaust, which before turbo was loud as crap...in a good way...turbo actually dampened mine down some...Full throttle is loud as ***** at the moment, but mostly because of the open wastegate...ive passed cops and such with no problems...i should add that the zpi exhaust i have is straight pipes with a magnaflow muffler on the rear section and thats it..so i doubt you have anything to worry about...Hope that helps and happy boosting!

i just figured with the change in the stock intake manifold, like most cars, ithe sound usually increases dramatically....well at least thats what i had on my old 97 prelude....but then again, i had a racing cat back exhaust which was like 100 db, lol

i have an HKS axle back with a megan racing mid pipe.

Piping goes as:

DP, 2.5"...S-pipe, 2.5"....Midpipe, 2.25".....axle back, 2.25"

Dump is closed loop, recirculated to exhaust and when that wastegate opens, it sound MEAN!! Very loud (inside cabine, dunno how it sounds outside).

when i had the stage 0 i was running a zpi midpipe..zpi spipe.. and hks axleback.. before i had the turbo it was raspy kinda... due to the lack of air.. now with the turbo i have added backpressure.. causing the sound to increase in a throaty sounding way.. the rasp is gone.. it sounds louder at idle with the turbo but your exhaust sounds more manly lol and less like a beecan and our 2.4l helps out too ..

yeah, i'm just waiting to slap on this zpi stage 0, and listen to the sweet sounds of boost, with an abnormally large grin as the blow off valve chirps in the background....what a feelin it must be, and less than 2 weeks to wait!

I live in the Irvine area and drive all over orange county area. I don't have any problems with cops as long as you are smart about it when driving around town you should be fine. Just don't attract unwanted attention when boosted. (Which is hard to do)
